Boys high school lacrosse state championships, youth lacrosse TV coverage

SEATTLE – Lacrosse fans will have two television viewing opportunities for their sport in association with the Washington Lacrosse High School Boys State Championships Saturday, May 28 at Memorial Stadium in Seattle.

KING TV (NBC – Seattle) will feature youth lacrosse live throughout its Saturday morning newscast, while the 2011 Boys Division I state title game between Mercer Island and Bainbridge will be aired by Comcast On Demand.

The Boys Division I title game is available to Comcast customers free of charge and will be available within 48 hours of the conclusion of the game.

With a 33-year local history, more than 4,000 students attending over 100 WIAA schools now make up 154 individual boys and girls Varsity and JV teams across eastern and western Washington. Governed by the Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association and the Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association, the sport is played during a nine-week spring season capped by annual boys and girls state championships in late May.
